Personal training is when a trainer works with a client individually. Your trainer would do a fitness assessment to determine your fitness level and design your program based on your scores on the tests. Each workout would be one-on-one training going through your custom designed workout program. When looking at personal training, you have several options. The first option would be to hire a trainer to work with you at every session. You would generally purchase a package of sessions to be used either 2, 3, or 4 times per week. After your assessment, your trainer would then take you through each workout during the week, tweaking it to meet your needs as you progress through your program. Your second option would be to hire a trainer to design a workout for you to do on your own. The trainer would again need to do fitness assessment tests to determine your abilities and needs and they would then take you through the first workout or two so you would learn the proper form for each exercise so that you could do it on your own for the next couple of months. All clients will go through a Fitness Assessment. Those clients who only purchase individual sessions will pay a session fee for Fitness Assessment. |
